60.000: sono stati i visitatori della XXVI edizione di Torino Comics, la più grande e la più visitata di sempre.
Sabato pomeriggio, sold out per Giorgio Vanni,: migliaia di persone hanno assistito al live del più celebre cantante delle sigle dei cartoni animati italiani anni ’90 e 2000. Una performance piena di energia che ha fatto cantare, saltare ed emozionare il pubblico sulle note di One Piece, Dragon Ball e Detective Conan.
Ottima l’affluenza anche all’agorà per gli incontri culturali tematici sul fumetto, che hanno visto alternarsi sul palco alcuni dei più importanti fumettisti italiani, da Giorgio Cavazzano a Leo Ortolani, da Silvia Ziche a Massimiliano Frezzato, da Corrado Mastantuono a Marco Gervasio.
Centinaia di fan durante tutti i tre giorni di evento hanno incontrato l’attore nordirlandese Kristian Nairn, noto al pubblico internazionale per aver interpretato il personaggio Hodor nella celeberrima serie Il trono di spade, e hanno potuto ricevere foto e dediche personalizzate.
Grandissima affluenza anche per i meet&greet dei talent del web come Jumbodrillo e il trio degli Amiketty formato da Leo, Bertra e Totta.
Affollatissima anche l’area videogames, realizzata in collaborazione con Lega Esport e Ak informatica, si è potuto assisteree in diretta agli show match con i più famosi team di Esport d’Italia. Sabato si sono svolti i match di League of Legends con i team Exeed, Morning Stars, Outplayer e Atleta Esport. Domenica pomeriggio è stata la volta di Fifa, il simulatore di calcio più celebre al mondo: sul palco si sono sfidate Sampdoria, Udinese, Verona ed Exeed. In collaborazione con Powned.it, inoltre, si sono svolti i tornei di Teamfight Tactics, Pokemon unite e Hearthstone Battlegrounds. A ogni partecipante sono stati assicurati prodotti offerti da Hp, Riotoro e Yenkee.
Tra i protagonisti indiscussi della fiera ci sono naturalmente i cosplayer. Il palco del Padiglione 3 per due giorni è stato animato con esibizioni, sfilate competitive, karaoke e momenti di animazione grazie all’attività dei ragazzi della Cospa Family. Ospite d’eccezione tra i giurati delle competizioni Pugoffka cosplayer e bravissima fotografa, Ucraina originaria di Kiew, che a causa dell’attuale conflitto è dovuta scappare riuscendo a mettersi al sicuro in Polonia. Fotografa da più di 10 anni e ha realizzato più di 1000 servizi fotografici a cosplayer. Nella giornata di domenica 12 giugno ha svolto un workshop sul palco molto interessante per tutti gli appassionati di fotografia dove ha svelato qualche piccolo trucchetto sull’uso di luci, flash e composizione fotografica.
Sabato 11 giugno, si è svolta la competizione inserita nel circuito ICL – International Cosplay League, hanno sfilato 6 singoli e 6 coppie, hanno trionfato , Barbara Ghiotti e Gabriele Rubbi con Overwatch per la categoria coppie e Sara Martin con Scarlet Witch per la categoria singoli. I vincitori rappresenteranno l’Italia a settembre alle finali mondiali di Madrid, nell’ambito del Japan Weekend.
Domenica 12 giugno si è invece svolta la classica sfilata competitiva, che premia l’abilità “artigiana” del concorrente, la sua capacità di immedesimarsi nel ruolo scelto e le sue doti interpretative e di simpatia, in una sfida all’ultimo abito per l’assegnazione dei premi. Si sono alternati sul palco oltre 100 cosplayer, in gara per aggiudicarsi il premio per miglior singolo (maschile e femminile), miglior coppia, miglior gruppo, fino al superpremio finale, un viaggio al German Comic Con a Dortmund: la vincitrice di quest’ultimo è stata Shiva Cosplay con il personaggio Eivor dal videogioco Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. All’interno della gara domenicale si sono svolte anche le selezioni italiane dell’Europa Cosplay Cup, una nuova competizione a cui partecipano cosplayer qualificati da paesi di tutta Europa. Le finali si svolgeranno a fine novembre 2022 a Tolosa in Francia, in occasione dell’evento Tolouse Game Show. Il vincitore che rappresenterà l’Italia a Tolosa è stato Diego Capuozzo alias Malvagio Cosplay con Alphonse Enric della serie Full Metal Alchemist.

La XXVII edizione di Torino Comics è invece in programma dal 14 al 16 aprile 2023.

Saturday afternoon, sold out for Giorgio Vanni: thousands of people attended the live performance of the most famous singer of Italian cartoon theme songs from the 1990s and 2000s. A performance full of energy that made the audience sing, jump and get excited on the notes of One Piece, Dragon Ball and Detective Conan.
The turnout was also excellent at the agora for the thematic cultural meetings on comics, which saw some of the most important Italian comic strip artists take turns on stage, from Giorgio Cavazzano to Leo Ortolani, from Silvia Ziche to Massimiliano Frezzato, from Corrado Mastantuono to Marco Gervasio.
Hundreds of fans throughout the three-day event met Northern Irish actor Kristian Nairn, known to international audiences for playing the character Hodor in the highly popular series The Game of Thrones, and were able to receive photos and personalised dedications.
There was also a huge turnout for the meet&greet of web talents such as Jumbodrillo and the Amiketty trio formed by Leo, Bertra and Totta.
The videogames area, organised in collaboration with Lega Esport and Ak Informatica, was also very crowded, with live show matches with Italy’s most famous Esport teams. On Saturday, League of Legends matches took place with the Exeed, Morning Stars, Outplayer and Atleta Esport teams. On Sunday afternoon it was the turn of Fifa, the world’s most famous football simulator: Sampdoria, Udinese, Verona and Exeed challenged each other on stage. In collaboration with Powned.it, there were also Teamfight Tactics, Pokemon United and Hearthstone Battlegrounds tournaments. Each participant was assured products offered by Hp, Riotoro and Yenkee.
Among the undisputed stars of the fair were of course the cosplayers. The stage in Hall 3 for two days was animated with performances, competitive parades, karaoke and moments of animation thanks to the activities of the Cospa Family. The special guest among the jurors of the competitions was Pugoffka cosplayer and talented photographer, Ukrainian originally from Kiew, who had to flee to safety in Poland due to the current conflict. She has been photographing for more than 10 years and has carried out more than 1000 photo shoots of cosplayers. On Sunday, 12 June, she held a very interesting workshop on stage for all photography enthusiasts where she revealed a few little tricks on the use of lights, flashes and photo composition. On Saturday 11 June, the competition took place as part of the ICL circuit – International Cosplay League, 6 singles and 6 couples paraded, Barbara Ghiotti and Gabriele Rubbi with Overwatch triumphed in the couples category and Sara Martin with Scarlet Witch in the singles category. The winners will represent Italy in September at the world finals in Madrid, as part of the Japan Weekend.
On Sunday 12 June, instead, the classic competitive parade took place, which rewards the competitor’s ‘craftsmanship’, his ability to identify with the chosen role and his interpretative and sympathetic skills, in a challenge to the last dress for the awarding of prizes. More than 100 cosplayers took turns on stage, competing to win the prizes for best single (male and female), best couple, best group, up to the final super-prize, a trip to the German Comic Con in Dortmund: the winner of the latter was Shiva Cosplay with the character Eivor from the video game Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The Sunday competition also included the Italian selections of the Europa Cosplay Cup, a new competition in which qualified cosplayers from countries all over Europe participate. The finals will take place at the end of November 2022 in Toulouse, France, during the Tolouse Game Show. The winner who will represent Italy in Toulouse was Diego Capuozzo alias Malvagio Cosplay with Alphonse Enric from the Full Metal Alchemist series.
